The Institute of Safety Officers was solely formed to educate and train Safety Officers; Safety Managers; Safety Representatives thereby offering a wide range of services and SETA aligned unit standards; qualifications; skills programs and short courses for those willing to make Occupational Health Safety and Environment their career and profession. Formed by experienced; certified and registered Safety Officers; HSE Managers who recognized the need for skills transformation among Safety Officers and Practitioners. The Institute of Safety Officers is managed by experienced; certified and registered Occupational Health and Safety Officers; Safety Managers; Safety Professionals; Assessors; Moderators; and Facilitators with more than 25 years of time served experience managing and implementing of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems in line with ISO 9001; ISO 4500; ISO 22000 and ISO 31000 Risk Management with completed projects within the following industries: EPCM project management; mining; building and construction; petrochemical; pulp and paper; smelter and foundries; engineering workshops; fabrication and welding; structural steel installation; civils and bulk earthworks; and hydro power plants; warehousing and HACCP food storage business entities.

To improve the skills of Safety Officers; Safety Managers in order that they may take pride in making a safe productive contribution to the Occupational Health and Safety profession so that they can return to their loved one’s injury free.
